The Census Bureau has launched the Census Academy, a series of courses designed for learning data skills. This is complementary to the Data Gems series, created about a year ago to guide people in how to use Census Bureau data and its available tools. Available courses include those on Open Mapping Education Series, Mapping Census Bureau Data in R with Choroplethr, Census Data with R: Using the R Package RankingProject, and Analyzing Census Data in Excel.
